Chennai, TN
I was supposed to fly to Chennai at 9:40. I did eventually but only after a lot of confusion.
So my dad forwarded me a text from Indigo that I have the option to volunteer to change my flight timings to 2105 hours instead of 0940 hours, in return of INR 8500 vouchers. So, me and my materal uncle took a chance and went to airport to get further clarifications. We decided at if I am able to get the vouchers, I will postpone my trip back Chennai. It would not only give me a chance to have that drink I always wanted to but also my aaji (maternal grandmother) would be extremely happy to see me for few more hours. And by the way, the drink I wanted to have, which you'll know if was able to, or not is called Sol kadhi.

Sol kadhi is a popular after-meal beverage made out of coconut milk and kokum. It is very popular in Konkan region and Goa.
So we went to airport and I went to the Indigo enquiry counter. I asked them about the SMS that I had received. They replied that my flight has been overbooked. There is an overbooking of two people. There were actually four people in contention of two seats. They asked me to wait till the last moment and if there is no space in my flight they will accomodate me in the night flight and in return, give me vouchers worth 8500 INR, as stated in the text message.
As the fate had it, a group of three who wanted to go together but could not because there were only two seats, cancelled all their tickets and I was left with no option but to fly with my original flight.

Fast forward 90 minutes, I reached Chennai and around the same time, my uncle reached his home in Mumbai. I took the local to the nearest station from my apartment in Chennai.
Rest of the day, I spent unpacking and arranging my wardrobe. I hope my wardrobe remains unpacked for a long time. I met Geetartho and later, Omkar Jagdale, Ayon and Namrata in the evening. It was a day which started at a very rapid pace as you would expect in Mumbai but ended up on a very relaxed note in Chennai.
And about the sol kadhi, well, of course it wasn't to be.
Cheers,
S
